Restore Calm & Peace and achieve meditation mastery through a 21 day meditation practice

AttentionAttention is the basis of all higher cognitive and emotional abilities. In the first week of this 21-day challenge we will focus on attention training. The key ideas are to train your mind to pay attention, to be less distracted, and more clear. In essence to improve the quality of your mind. We will start with the focus on your breath, and then move to focus on a word and finally focus on your senses.

AwarenessAwareness is a concept in meditation that refers to paying attention to the thoughts and feelings that inhabit us. When you start paying attention to thoughts, you start to notice what is on your mind and when you start paying attention to the body, you start noticing where your body holds tension. The very act of becoming aware liberates you from your thoughts, you can just notice them as they appear in your consciousness.
|
AttitudeThe way we pay attention and the quality we bring to is, is what we refer to as Attitude. We could be kind or curious or open or loving. These attitudes can be cultivated through practice. Shauna Shapiro posits that the three axioms Intention, Attention, and Attitude are the fundamental components of mindfulness. We can bring this Attitude to your interaction with other people or animals or the environment.
